VANCOUVER, BC, Nov. 6, 2026 /CNW/ -- Westshore Terminals Investment Corporation (TSX: WTE) (the "Corporation") announced today that it has filed its earnings report for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, and related management's discussion and analysis with the Canadian security regulatory authorities. Copies of the documents are available on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca and the Corporation's website at www.westshore.com.
The Corporation also announced today that a dividend of $0.375 per share will be paid on or before January 15, 2027, to shareholders of record on December 31, 2026. The dividend will be designated an "eligible dividend" for Canadian tax purposes.
For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, Westshore loaded 20.3 million tonnes compared to 18.5 million tonnes for the same period in 2025. Throughput volumes for 2026 as a whole are anticipated to be approximately 27.0 million tonnes at an average loading charge of approximately $13.85.
Westshore expects to announce its 2027 annual forecast by the first week of January 2027.
Westshore's potash project is progressing, and construction is expected to be substantially completed in the second quarter of 2027. Westshore has revised its estimate of the total cost of the potash project and now expects that the potash project will be approximately $250 million above the original budget (an increase of $25 million from the previously reported estimate of $225 million), which it will be responsible for funding. Westshore does not anticipate any liquidity concerns resulting from its obligation to fund the potash project cost overruns.
The foregoing statements concerning anticipated throughput volumes, loading charges, timing of completion of construction of potash project and Westshore's capital contribution to the potash project and ability to fund such contribution are forward-looking statements that reflect the current expectations of the Corporation with respect to future events and performance. Forward looking statements should not be read as guarantees of future performance or results, and will not necessarily be accurate indications of whether such performance or results will be achieved.
Forward-looking statements are based on information available at the time they are made, assumptions made by management, and management's good faith belief with respect to future events and will be impacted by and are subject to the risks and uncertainties outlined in the Corporation's Annual Information Form that could cause actual performance or results to differ materially from those reflected in the forward-looking statements, historical results or current expectations.
