New PROVE IT Stickers Make You Get Up and Get Stuff Done

PR Newswire

Getting out of bed, taking pills, flossing – each alert won't stop ringing until you walk over and tap the PROVE IT Sticker with your iPhone

PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Shelpful, the company behind ADHD-friendly tools for everyday follow-through, announced the launch of PROVE IT, a new accountability system that combines a free iPhone app - available in the App Store today - with physical PROVE IT Stickers to help people actually follow through on the things they keep putting off.

20 PROVE IT Stickers to a pack works with FREE iOS PROVE IT App

The concept is intentionally simple: Set an alert. Stick a PROVE IT Sticker where the task happens. When the alert rings, physically get there and tap it with your phone to make the alert stop.

Taking medication? Put a PROVE IT Sticker near your medicine. Need to walk the dog? Put one by the leash. Trying to get out of bed on time? Put one across the room. Always running late? Put one by the front door.

Unlike a traditional alarm or reminder that can be mindlessly dismissed, PROVE IT is designed to make ignoring the task harder than just getting up and doing it.

"We've spent years building accountability tools, and one thing became incredibly clear: most people already know what they need to do," said Sharon Pope, CEO and co-founder of Shelpful. "The hard part is actually getting ourselves to start and willpower just isn't cutting it. PROVE IT closes that gap by making you physically move toward the thing you said you wanted to do."

How PROVE IT Works

PROVE IT has two pieces that work together: the free iOS app and PROVE IT Stickers (20 to a pack), small NFC-enabled stickers that can be placed around the home—or anywhere a task happens. Each sticker is a precision-engineered disc with a chip and antenna sealed inside. No battery. No charging. Ever.

Setup takes just a few steps:

  1. Choose your task. Create an alert for something you need or want to get done.
  2. Choose when it fires. Set the day and time.
  3. Pair a PROVE IT Sticker. Stick it where the task actually happens.
  4. When the alert fires, move your tushy. Get to the Sticker and tap it with your iPhone to silence the alert.

Users can choose from three levels of alerts depending on how much motivation they need: Nudge, Rally or Holy Sh*t.

And if the alert is dismissed without scanning the Sticker? It comes back.

The idea isn't to create another reminder users can ignore. It's to create accountability that requires action.

Put the Sticker Where the Thing Happens

PROVE IT Stickers turn everyday places and objects into physical accountability points.

Stick one:

  • By your medication
  • On the bathroom mirror
  • Near the dog leash
  • Across the room from your bed
  • By the front door
  • Near your vitamins
  • On the washing machine
  • By your workout equipment
  • Anywhere else you regularly need a little push to get started

Each Sticker pairs with an alert in the PROVE IT app. When that alert fires, the paired Sticker becomes the user's destination.

No opening another productivity app. No checking off a box from the couch.

Get there. Tap it. PROVE IT.

Smart Enough to Know When You're Not Home

PROVE IT is persistent—but it's not designed to start screaming in the middle of a work meeting or while you're sitting in a movie theater.

Users can enable location checking for individual alerts. When enabled, PROVE IT determines whether the user is near the location of their Sticker before firing the alert. If they're away, the alert is suppressed. Location is used only to determine whether a user is near the Sticker —not to track where they go.

Users who bring a Sticker with them can simply turn the location setting off, and the alert will fire at its scheduled time regardless of where they are.

What If You Really Can't Do It?

Life happens. Sometimes you genuinely can't get to the Sticker, so PROVE IT includes a limited number of free bail-outs that allow users to stop an alert without completing the scan. But they're intentionally limited.

The Shelpful team plans to continue experimenting with new accountability and consequence features as PROVE IT grows, informed by feedback from its early testing community.

Not Another Productivity System

PROVE IT isn't designed to organize someone's entire life.

It's for the thing they keep not doing. The medication they forget. The dog walk they procrastinate. The workout they keep skipping. The bedtime they blow past. The morning alarm they snooze six times. The laundry sitting in the washer.

PROVE IT was built by the team behind Shelpful, which has spent years creating accountability and task-management tools. Shelpful's broader mission has remained consistent: make everyday tasks feel less overwhelming and help people follow through without shame.
