Hawaiian comfort food brand opens its 75th restaurant with Friends & Ohana night, ribbon cutting and opening-day giveaways
Eagle, ID (RestaurantNews.com) Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food is bringing the Island Spirit to Eagle with the opening of its newest restaurant at 722 S. Edgewood Ln., Suite 120. The Eagle location marks the brand’s 9th in Idaho and 75th restaurant systemwide, becoming the newest stop on Mo’ Bettahs’ growing map of communities across seven states craving fresh Hawaiian comfort food.
Founded in Utah, Mo’ Bettahs has steadily expanded its footprint in Idaho, continuing to grow its ohana while staying rooted in its Hawaiian-inspired approach to food and hospitality. The Eagle opening represents another step in the brand’s growth, supported by partnerships with Savory Fund beginning in 2017 and Blue Marlin and Trive Capital in 2024. Today, Mo’ Bettahs employs nearly 2,000 team members and is working toward its 100th restaurant milestone as it plans to enter even more new markets.
The new restaurant will host a Friends & Ohana night on Thursday, Feb. 5, welcoming guests to preview the menu and celebrate with the Mo’ Bettahs team. A lunch event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. MT and a dinner celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. During the dinner event, guests can enjoy a free mini plate and drink, along with Mo’ Bettahs swag and samples of favorites like Spam musubi.
Co-founders Kimo and Kalani Mack are expected to attend the opening events, welcoming guests and celebrating with the local community.
“As we continue to grow our presence, especially on the Western side of the US, we’re excited to share our food and our aloha with every community we serve,” said Kimo Mack, co-founder of Mo’ Bettahs. “Mo’ Bettahs has always been about family, fresh food and creating a place where everyone feels welcome. As we open our doors and celebrate, this is how we express our mahalo to the people of Eagle for welcoming us into their neighborhood, and we look forward to sharing island hospitality with even more communities in the coming years.”
The restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., serving Mo’ Bettahs’ signature Hawaiian-style plates made with fresh ingredients and bold island flavors. To keep the celebration going, Mo’ Bettahs will offer a buy-one, get-one-free promotion on Monday, Feb. 9. Guests who mention the promotion at the register will receive a free regular plate with the purchase of another regular plate.
