Eve Wellness Announces Expansion Bringing Direct-to-Consumer AI Breast Screening to Walnut Creek

PR Newswire

Second Bay Area clinic opens October 15 during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, offering direct access to physician-read 3D Ultrasound with FDA-approved AI image analysis

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Eve Wellness, the nation's first direct-to-consumer breast cancer screening clinics with 3D Ultrasound and FDA-approved AI image analysis technology, will open its second Bay Area location in Walnut Creek on October 15, 2026. Eve provides physician-read, radiation-free breast screening in just 20 minutes, without requiring a doctor referral for $349. The clinic returns results within 48 hours and accepts HSA and FSA payments. The opening falls during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a timely reminder of the scale of the disease. This year, approximately321,910 women in the United States are expected to be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, and about 42,140 women are expected to die from it, according to the American Cancer Society.

"As we expand Eve's locations we continue to work toward our goal of making advanced breast screening easier for women to access," said Brendan Foley, co-founder and president of Eve Wellness. "Over the past four years, our patients have helped us create an experience that is comfortable, efficient and built around their needs. Walnut Creek is the first step in bringing that model to more communities and laying the foundation for Eve to serve women in cities across the country."

The Walnut Creek opening marks the next stage of growth for Eve, which introduced its direct-to-patient breast screening model in San Francisco in October 2022. Since then, Eve has screened more than 4,000 patients. Among patients who shared their follow-up results with Eve, 41 were diagnosed with cancer, including 16 under the age of 40.*

Anisha Malik, was one of Eve's first patients with a family history of breast cancer. "I was 37 when my cancer was found at stage one. I'm incredibly grateful to Eve because this option exists to get an ultrasound, to get the results quickly, to be able to walk in on the same day. Having that ultrasound at Eve was critical to fast-tracking my care. I just wake up with gratitude every day," Malik said.

The technology behind Eve reflects decades of innovation in breast imaging. Both Eve clinics operate GE HealthCare's Invenia™ ABUS, the first FDA-approved ultrasound system designed specifically for supplemental screening in women with dense breast tissue. Each scan is supported by QView Medical's QVCAD®, FDA-approved AI for breast ultrasound cancer detection. This combination of technologies is the result of a formal strategic partnership announced by QView Medical last October.

In a recent interview, Dr. Ian Grady, Medical Director at Eve Wellness, said, "The important part of screening at Eve Wellness is the AI software that comes with it. The AI technology has gotten progressively better and better. It's been about three years since I have found a breast cancer that it wasn't able to pick up."

"For the millions of women with dense breast tissue, mammography alone may not tell the full story. By pairing advanced imaging with AI-powered insights, Eve is giving women greater clarity and confidence while helping clinicians detect potential concerns earlier," said Bob Wang, Founder and CEO, QView Medical.

The Walnut Creek clinic is located at 1844 San Miguel Drive near Broadway Plaza, and appointments are now available.

*Eve screens for areas that may require further evaluation. Diagnostic imaging and, when necessary, a biopsy are completed by outside medical providers who make the final diagnosis.
